North Lake Playground Replacement

Thank you to everyone who showed up on Sep 27 to take apart the old wooden play structure and remove the wood chips so we could excavate and be prepared for the professional installation of the new structure.

We still need to complete the border installation and put wood chips in before this project is complete.

Please be extra careful until we have the full 12" depth of wood chips!

Welcome to the Hilton Lake Homeowners Association near Everett, WA

The purpose of this site is to enhance the quality of life in Hilton Lake and provide support services and information to our residents.

We provide a number of resources here to help keep you informed, resolve issues, and become more involved in our community.

There has been discussion about speeding through our neighborhood, and a Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program that might work well for us.

For a neighborhood to be considered for inclusion in the program, it must meet minimum qualifying criteria pertaining to traffic speeds and volumes, and residents must submit a letter demonstrating neighborhood support. If this is of interest, we encourage you to explore the website listed above.

Summer/Fall Work Parties

A big shout out to the 22 homeowners who showed up for our August and September work days.  With the drought this year, low water levels in the lakes allowed us to trim trees and bushes and pull out branches and trash from normally difficult to reach areas around the shorelines.

We also dug up some drainage areas which needed attention before the rainy season arrives.  These are still a work in progress, and we hope to leave the affected drainages in a better state soon.

Junk Vehicles

To qualify, per RCW 46.55.010, a vehicle must meet three of the following:

  • At least three years old

  • Extensively damaged

  • Apparently inoperable

  • A “fair market value” equal only to the approximate value of the scrap in it

If the vehicle meets the above requirements, complete a Junk Vehicle Affidavit Inspection Request Form. You can also contact a law enforcement agency, 911 or an authorized junk vehicle inspector to arrange for the inspection of the vehicle, per RCW 46.55.230. If not, refer to RCW 46.55 concerning abandoned vehicles.

The Junk Vehicle Affidavit Form is available on the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) website.  Please have it available for the law enforcement officer or registered tow truck operator (RTTO) to complete.

Board meetings are normally (not always) held the SECOND THURSDAY of the month at the Hilton Lake Fire Station.

Our next meeting will be Oct 9 at 6 PM outdoors at the playground on 102nd St (N lake).  In case of rain we will meet at the fire station.
