                                    June 7, 2005

MEMBERS PRESENT: Nancy Christiansen, David Jiles, Rob Marks, David Miles, Ray Metz, Chris Van Horn

MEMBERS ABSENT: Frances Collinwood, Richard Stewart, John Nist

HOMEOWNERS PRESENT: Monty Tuengel

The meeting was called to order by John Nist on Tuesday, 7:00PM at the new Firehouse on 108th St. Written agenda is not available.

[MSP] Meeting minutes of May 2005 approved, with corrections.

Comments from Monty:

Acting in the capacity of HLHA landscaper, Monty had some observations and proposals:

-         There has been an increase in people traffic from other neighborhoods. Some are fishing, some are leaving trash. One man who walks his dog and lets the dog poop without cleaning up after it. He is not a resident and is defiant when challenged.

-         The common area that was planted during the last work party needs ___________.

-         The path leading to this area needs some trail repair. The trailer, which hauled dirt, created a large rut on the lake side of the path. It needs 2-4 yards of gravel to fix. Probably $50-100 of crushed rock and ~4hrs. of Monty’s labor @ $35/hr.

[MSP] $300 (not to exceed) for gravel repair.

-         One of the Alaskan weeping cedars that was planted next to the bridge didn’t live through last year. We could replace it.

[MSP] $50 for one tree.

-         The weeds in the lake are in need of control. Monty would like to attempt to rake and remove. He estimates ~$560 total.

[MSP] $560 to remove weeds from North lake.

[MSP] $100 of commercial grade Roundup to treat trails for weed control.

OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Dues- We need to check with John Nist to see if the bills have been handed over to the lien lawyer.

2.      Fence between HLHA and new development. It was reiterated that we voted to allow Atlas fence company to build at a price of $1,695 total (11 gage wire).

3.      We have a company “ABC__________” asking to pay a past due bill for backflow testing. It was noted that the billing name is “Hilton Place”. Therefore they are sending the bill to the wrong association. Hilton Place is the cul-de-sac off of 100th St.

NEW BUSINESS:

1.      Summer party is set for June 25, time 2PM. Do we have goodies for kids? Door prizes? Details will be worked out.

2.      Picnic tables- [MSP] Buy 4 new picnic tables at $87/table. Approx. $368 total.
