The meeting was called to order by John Nist on Tuesday, 7:00PM at the new Firehouse on 108th St. Written agenda is not available. The board was greeted by the Captain who thanked us for “station-warming” gifts.

[MSP] Meeting minutes of April 2005 approved, as is.

OLD BUSINESS:

1.      Fish were stocked in the South lake. The large culvert should pose no problem for them to migrate to the North lake, as well. [David M.]

2.      Borax was not put on tennis courts before the work party, because it takes a week to work [Nancy C].

3.      Tennis courts nets sag. This needs to be identified as a future project. Roots are encroaching under the court. There are also two holes in the court nearest the lake.

4.      An arborist was paid to come out and assess all of the common areas for blighted or sick trees. There were two trees in the common area(s) that were identified as needing to be removed. One tree with blight is behind Lot 49. The other hazard tree is a small fir tree behind Rob M’s house.

5.      Fence between HLHA and new development was discussed. We had 3 documented bids and one verbal bid:

  1. Economy (verbal) $950 total ($500 for materials alone, if we get volunteer labor)
  2. Premier- $1,878 total, 11 gage wire.
  3. Eagle- $1,479 total, 11 gage wire, 85’ + 17’
  4. Atlas- $1,695 total, 11 gage wire

6. Two homeowners will be turned over to the lien lawyer to collect dues. Frances is working with one other to locate a lost check.

NEW BUSINESS:

1.      103rd St. sign has ivy overgrowing and interfering with reading of the sign.

2.      Picnic tables- current tables are aging and breaking down. New ones are available at Lowe’s for $79/table. Aluminum or heavy-duty plastic are candidate materials. Ray Metz and David Miles volunteer to look for other candidates.

3.      Garage sale ad- John Nist will put in newspaper. Francis will do garage sale flyers.

4.      Summer party- Can we put more sand in horseshoe pit?

5.      Work party- task sheets were well received.
