HILTON LAKE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING

                                    November 2, 2004

MEMBERS PRESENT: Nancy Christiansen, Frances Collinwood, David Jiles, David Miles, John Nist, Chris Van Horn

MEMBERS ABSENT: Rob Marks, Ray Metz, Richard Stewart

HOMEOWNERS PRESENT: Monty Tuengel

The meeting was called to order by David Miles on Tuesday, 7:00pm at the home of Nancy Christiansen. Written agenda is not available.

Monty Tuengel: Will the milfoil rake/removal be done? Do we have the OK? Answer: We need to get Ray Metz/Rob Marks assessment of how rake performs.

[MSP] Meeting minutes of October 2004 approved, as is.

OLD BUSINESS

Milfoil rake- Need to get answer from Ray M. and Rob M. by email.

Flooding- We need to assess building a gate valve at the plugged low-flow outlet of the weir. We need a plan. We may not have the funds to get the job done this year, but we need some bids on doing this work. David J. volunteered to investigate finding someone to bid this project (possibly a farm irrigation company from Snohomish valley??).

Work party- $255.02 Pacific Topsoils bill for work party. That seems in line with the amount of green waste taken away and sand/gravel procured.

Backflow test- We barely passed. The valves are $10-$15. A potential 2005 project.

NEW BUSINESS

Tennis courts: The posts, which hold the nets up, are sinking inward. They need to be re-sunk. This is another potential 2005 project.

North lake: The pump needs to be turned off.

Christmas party: Possible dates are Sunday Dec. 5, Monday Dec. 6 or Tuesday Dec. 7. It is still undetermined if the Metz house is available. He needs to ask his wife.

Crime: Cascaded Highlands is reporting that they are having a high crime rate. They have implemented Blockwatch, but public funds are almost non-existent, while the Sheriff’s office is going through their budget woes. There are community resources, such as Lead On America, connected by website only.

Budget: We need to simplify the accounts. A discrepancy in actual dollars in account and dollars in the ledger may be in the fees we are being charged. Currently $1,775.00 in savings and $7339.00 in checking. There is approx. $5,000 still owed in 2004.

Dues delinquency: Fitzgerald is still the only delinquency for 2004. John Nist to check with the lien lawyer for us.

[MSP] $75.00 for lime treatment and winter fertilizing of newly renovated lawn common area adjacent to Nist and Ferguson houses.
